Family Legacy

Stephanie comes from a military family, with both parents serving in the Air Force. Her father set an example for leadership by coaching Varsity basketball in high schools on the Space Coast for over 4 decades. A student athlete herself, Stephanie was inspired by her father’s commitment to not only teaching the skills necessary on the court, but challenging athletes to perform in the classroom, and be involved in the community.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in health science from UCF, she continued on to pursue her Master’s degree in Public Health. As a community health professional, Stephanie has spent over a decade working to improve health outcomes for Central Florida residents, through education, building partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, and leading community health improvement efforts in Central Florida and beyond. She has also shared her joy for learning through teaching yoga, and art classes in the community.

Classroom Experience

Stephanie enjoyed three years of teaching science education to kids and families at the Orlando Science Center. This included developing health related curriculum, teaching science labs during field trip visits, and helping to spread the joy for learning in Central Florida. During her tenure at AdventHealth, Stephanie was able to bring to life a program called Mission:FIT Possible, which involved teaching health and wellness education to schools in Orange, Osceola and Seminole County. Throughout her career, she continued to teach health education to students, families, and local businesses.
